The Napier ERA team loves any opportunity to soak up some sunshine. We've created this list of our six favorite parks around town that we know are perfect for a relaxing Spring walk.
- Chimborazo Park & Playground – 3201 E. Broad St., Richmond, VA 23223
If you're looking for a park that has it all, Chimborazo Park & Playground has something for families and furry friends alike. The park itself is an impressive 30-acres in size which present an amazing view of Richmond. Their newly renovated children's playground one block away has plenty of fun for young children. If your four-legged friend is joining you, the Church Hill Dog Park is on the eastern end of the park and features two sectioned off areas for dogs of all sizes. History buffs will enjoy a stop at the National Battlefield Park headquarters while photo-fiends should definitely snap a shot of the miniature Statue of Liberty.
- Hidden Rock Park – 1920 Hidden Rock Lane, Maidens, VA 23102
Although Hidden Rock Park isn't exactly a secret — it's actually within a quick drive of great Goochland homes for sale — its 60-acre facility leaves plenty to be discovered. There are tons of adult athletic leagues to join throughout the year, but for National Take a Walk in the Park Day, we suggest heading straight for their beautiful nature trails.
- Fighting Creek Park – 2505 Mann Rd., Powhatan, VA 23139
If you've been browsing Powhatan homes for sale and were hoping to find a great place to picnic close by, consider your wish granted! As one of the earliest trails mentioned in Powhatan history, Fighting Creek Park has eight walking trails that will surely work up an appetite. Take a walk in this park then enjoy a nice relaxing picnic as you close out March.
- Rockwood Park – 3401 Courthouse Rd., North Chesterfield, VA 23236
