Three years ago, Catherine and Matt Lillian decided that biking was the perfect way to see Richmond. They invested in 20 bicycles and began Richmond Rides, located at 414 N. 29th Street in Richmond. Their initial offering was a guided tour through Richmond's historic Church Hill neighborhood. Since then, their bike tour business has grown in popularity and expanded to include other tour options.

Church Hill Signature Tour

The original Richmond Rides tour rolls along at an easy pace through Richmond's most historic neighborhood. The Church Hill Signature Tour brings you intimately close to beautiful views and historic architecture. As your guide shares fascinating local facts, you'll learn about the neighborhood's culture and diversity.

Foodie Tour

Richmond Highlights Tour

On the Richmond Highlights Tour, you'll see city sights. The tour pedals through Jackson Ward, Capitol Square, The Museum District, and other downtown Richmond neighborhoods.

Along the River Tour

When you take the Along The River Tour, you'll travel the bike paths along the James River and the Capital Trail. As roll along the river, you'll view the historic canal, the river, riverboats, and colorful murals.

Monument Avenue Tour

The Monument Avenue Tour is a "dialogue and tour" developed by the owner, Catherine Lillian and Nikki Fernandes, a VCU Focused Inquiry instructor. They encourage participants to view the monuments along the street and also to share and learn. Participants will eat together and participate in a facilitated discussion about Richmond's history and future.
